I grew up in El Paso, TX. and started playing the drums at age 16. My influences at the time was bands like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Queensryche & Rush. I never had any drum lessons & was self taught. When I turned 21, I moved to Phoenix AZ. and joined several cover-bands playing 80's and 90's rock. I would do lot's of different drum-solos during shows and the name 'MachineGun" was given to me by friends. In 2001 I was published in Modern Drummer Magazine and started to take drumming more seriously. I started listening to bands like Tool, Godsmack, Lamb Of God & Slipknot. In 2006 I jumped on YouTube and launch my channel playing covers to all the bands I loved to play, but keeping my own style and showing some originality on each song. I was recognized by several professional bands like Disturbed, Static-X, Anthrax & Trivium. In 2009, after countless offers to join a new band, I heard Black Metal Box on the radio, and really loved their sound. Not knowing they were an Arizona local band, I decided to look them up. The first practice sealed the deal for all of us. Currently we are finishing up an EP and very excited to release our first CD.
