Reiter initially came into the band to try out for vocals. after spending some time with the initial band, he brought in his keys to give the music more of a full sound. Before long, he was back behind his Korg more often than he was attempting to write vocals, and the band as a whole decided to keep him there and continue the search for another frontman.
Reiter had many influences growing up, often listening to Rammstein, Nine Inch Nails and VNV Nation to round out his rock and industrial influences, finding some very good quality and stomper music with other bands such as Slipknot, Korn, and the advanced technicality of bands like Tool.
On stage, Reiter is often a different man, letting the inside come out for a little play, and has been noted as one of the more interesting people to watch on stage, especially during "Separate" where he parts ways with his keys for a song to illicit the audience into putting their fists in the air.
